There is a bird reserve owned by Fundacion ProAves is located above the pleasant colonial town of Jardin, which offers excellent accommodation to the birds, in this place the palm and the parrot is being protected, and the workers help the specie to reproduce and grow on a safe and wild area, in order to recover the large population that has been lost.
An idea that could help to safe the species is to teach the people why the tree is more important for the bird than for the human. We can search another tree to perform the tradition, but it is very difficult for them to search aanother place to live.
ReplyDeletean idea for protecting the bird is that for performing the religious tradition they look for another resource for making the "ramos " and not cutting the "ramos" of the habitat of this bird.
ReplyDeleteAn idea to protect the specie, besides this one, is to tell the people what is going on. For example, until now, I didn´t know that this situation is going on. If people know they can do more about it.

ReplyDeleteI think that the best way to protect the species is by creating an agreement between the 2 groups involved in the conflict (the protecting of the pecies group and the relogous group). Also campaigns are a good way to promote the care of the species.
